After a full year of design and development, backed by over 25 years of experience manufacturing high-performance locking differentials—we’re proud to introduce the all-new Halo SLR Locking Differential.

Designed as a true drop-in replacement for factory Can-Am SXS’s with Smart-Loc front differentials, or as an upgrade to your 21 spline Visco-Loc differential, the Halo SLR delivers a solid lock on demand, with next-level strength, reliability, and performance without unnecessary complexity or cost.

Two Configurations Available

  • 24-Spline Version – Utilizes the factory Smart-Lok axles, making it the most cost-effective upgrade available.
  • 30-Spline Version – Uses factory rear axles for increased strength and durability, ideal for extreme applications. This setup allows all four axles to be identical, simplifying spares and trail-side service.

ORDERING NOTES:

Locker Selection The 24 spline locker is a drop in replacement for the front Smart Loc differential found in many of the Can Am Models. The large Axle version uses the 30 spline axles found in the rear of of the X3 models If you are installing in something other than an X3 You will need to confirm axle lengths.

The rear 30 spline axles have a larger shaft, larger spline diameter, and larger CV joint, than the 33 spline Halo 30 axles. Some installations of the rear 30 spline axles in the front require minor clearanceing in the steering knuckle for the larger CV. This is minor and easily done with a die grinder.

Harness Selection If you are upgrading a Visco lock machine select the non Smart Loc harness. Visco lock machines will not have the needed Front Drive Module required for the Smart Loc harness function. The Smart loc harness is designed to eliminate the error warning received when disconnecting the sensors on the factory Smart Loc differential and additionally is integrated with the factory Smart-Loc control switches .
